Journal Club is a weekly seminar series (Thursdays at Noon in the Olin Hall Auditorium) in which graduate students present their latest research results. Each week two students give presentations of 20 minutes each. Journal Club is required for all graduate students in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences.

Journal Club has been a tradition in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences for more than half a century. It is an opportunity for graduate students to update the department about their latest research. It is also a great chance for students to practice presenting their research before a critical audience. With this in mind, presenters are asked to discuss their journal club presentation with three faculty members following their seminar. The results of this discussion are to be documented using the "faculty contact" form, which can be obtained here:
